Hereby announcing the title of the new single...it's...it's..Reset! A bit of a reset happened indeed as Daisy's songs opted for a quite different sound. Curious yet? Obviously. :-) The Palermo File - try outsNovember 15th Would you like to hear Daisy's new songs before they're released on The Palermo File in January? Well, we've created the right circumstances for that! That is if you're in The Netherlands this month or the next. Daisy will be doing intimate try outs of the songs in some very nice Dutch livingrooms. She will be accompanied by Vera Jessen Juhrend on guitar and/or Vincenzo Castellana on percussion. Dates are in the agenda and on the gorgeous digital flyer (check the gallery section on this website) made by Nancy van Geest. Into a Smile - Careclowns CommercialNovember 8th Earlier this year Monc Music - Arthur Flink & Hielke Praagman - were asked to compose a song for the new Careclowns commercial. Alice Marzano wrote the lyrics to the song. A song, of course, needs to be sung and Monc Music asked Daisy to make sure of that. Maybe you've already seen the commercial, maybe you haven't, but you can hear the entire song Into a Smile here on youtube. Like it a lot? Here's where you can buy it. Daisy in Opzij MagazineNovember 2nd This summer Daisy did an interview for Opzij Magazine. She talked about her life in Palermo, songwriting and about The Europe Files. The interview is in Opzij's November issue. If you're a Dutchie...go to your shop and get it! :-) Back in The Netherlands...November 1st After spending four incredible months in Palermo, Daisy has arrived in The Netherlands yesterday! And yes, mission accomplished: many songs were written. Of course now it's time for the next step...arranging and recording a selection of them! Daisy teams up with producer Chris Grem again and they get together this week already. The Palermo File is coming to life! Dunya for Japan!May 27th On Sunday, the 29th of May, the well-known Dunya Festival wil take place again in Rotterdam. This year a group of four Japanese women called Te To Te have decided to organize a charity event there to help the recovery of Japan. From 12.00 to 22.00 you will have the chance to see many performances in the Dunya for Japan tent. Daisy Cools is on at 16.00. RadioMay 19th If you're in The Netherlands you might just have heard the single Be Good (from The Paris File) on the radio. It's getting quite some airplay, but some radio stations and DJ's invited Daisy and her band to play the new songs live on their programmes as well. The EP will be out May 13th. The artwork for the single and the EP is a result of a collaboration between Daniel Baggerman and Jessica de Ligt. Daisy always thought that Paris would be the perfect place to jam and write songs and she has proven herself right! The next step of course is arranging the songs and recording them. Daisy's new single is out now and of course she collaborated with Turbo Turbo in making another video. The video was shot in Palermo, Sicily...check it out here Dutch Music Video Award NominationSeptember 4th The video - by Turbo Turbo - for Daisy's single Crazy has been nominated for a Dutch Music Video Award! Congrats to Turbo Turbo and Terrence Sinclair for his amazing performance in it! Daisy Cools & Turbo Turbo off to Sicily!July 26th Rotterdam based film company Turbo Turbo and Daisy Cools will be off to Sicily soon to shoot the video for Daisy's next single Homewrecker! Daisy will be in Sicily's capital Palermo for a longer period of time to write new songs and play. Homewrecker originates from the album The Secrets We Keep and will be released mid-September. It will be followed by a very special acoustic tour of which the dates will soon be announced. French GigsJune 17th Only one more day before Daisy takes of to France. On her own, but accompanied by her guitar, she's in for a lonely drive to play at 2 lovely French festivals. Is that cool, or what?!! Crazy in TOP 10, hits by Dutchies TMF NLApril 22nd Check here. This is great! Live videos and fresh bloodApril 18th Daisy Cools is very, very happy to announce the arrival of squeeky new bandmembers! Both of them are lovely and very talented guitarists that go by the names of Angelo Franzen and Vera Juhrend (Vera's a singer/songwriter herself, check here!). Both of them will be on stage with Daisy and the Marco's April 23rd at their live show in Panama, Amsterdam. Both of them though, have already played radio gigs with Daisy! The video is doing well online and is playing on tv channel TMF. The song is getting a lot of airplay in most of the Dutch regions and is also promoted on some national radio channels. Daisy and her band have been invited to play live in Tros Muziekcafe, Radio 2. Giel Beelen has invited them as well. On March 23rd Daisy Cools will be playing Crazy live in his 3FM morningshow. It will be accompanied by a very special video produced by Turbo Turbo starring talkshowhost Terrence Sinclair. Sit tight! Turbo Turbo and Daisy Cools collaborated on Daisy's first video, 'If You Didn't Know'. Reviews!January 29th 'The Secrets We Keep' is getting amazing reviews! Some of them you can read online. 'The Secrets We Keep' on: 'If You Didn't Know' Nov.22nd The single 'If You Didn't Know' is doing quite well on the radio, but we've also found some cool reactions to the song online. 'If You Didn't Know' is doing well on futuremusiccharts.nl for instance. It's been climbing those charts for a few weeks now and it's still going strong. That's how we like it! 'The Secrets We Keep' is outNov.13th Finally! The album is for sale. You can get your hands on it at your local cd store or buy it online.
